When I met Jenny at the airport surrounded by her fellow au pair friends I knew we had made the right choice. She seemed so calm, happy and positive on what would be such a nerve-racking experience for many. Her compassion for her new friends was very touching.

We moved to USA about 3 years ago and left the kid’s grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles in europe. It was important for us to extend the feeling of family and that is why we chose to host an au pair. She fills our desire for extended family and I see she treasures the family moments too. I trust her completely with our 3 kids.

Jenny starts her day, every day, with a huge, bright, contagious smile. Always full of just the right energy to tackle the day ahead of her which is always so wide ranging.

I am nominating Jenny for multiple reasons. She is capable, professional, fun and the kids adore her, as do we. She is such a hands on help, quick to pick up new ways of life and adopt the family lifestyle. It is a wonderful feeling to come home and feel so happy to know every single time that our kids are in good, safe hands. I am grateful to Jenny for that. I have caught her on many occasions playing the most silly and creative, imaginative games with the kids, she plays her role so convincingly, with so much expression that I just want to join right in!

What I found to be exceptional, and where I feel like Jenny went way above and beyond my expectations of an au pair was when we visited my sister and her family on a holiday. Prior to leaving we discussed how it would work out living together with 2 families and with my sister who has a child with special needs. Jenny is very committed to good communication and made it clear what her boundaries would be. Whilst on the trip, however, I realized she was so much more than just our au pair, she had connected with my whole family. She bonded with my sister’s children, and they were naturally drawn to her. She adapted quickly to the child’s special needs, gaining such trust that it allowed us to all spend a great family holiday together.

Recently we took family holiday photos for her to send to friends and family back home. We felt so honored to be part of this photo with her and I could feel that we were an important part of her life too.
